Questions about lists, results and privacy
Are the tools free?
Yes. You can pick a name, make random teams and shuffle a list without an account.
How many entries can I use?
Up to 1,000 entries. Empty lines are ignored, and duplicate entries are retained. The editor accepts one item per line or a pasted spreadsheet column.
Does random mean a different result every time?
No. Repeats are possible. A shuffle may return the same order, and a wheel may pick the same entry unless winner removal is enabled.
Do my names leave my device?
The tools do not send the entered names or generated results to a server. Saving uses this browser’s local storage only. See the privacy page for other data handling, including ordinary website requests.
Can I use a saved list on another device?
Saving is local to this browser and this site address. There is no account sync. Copy the input if you need to move it elsewhere. A list saved at a preview address will not automatically transfer to a new public domain.
Why did my list disappear?
Reloading or leaving for a guide discards an unsaved list. Saved lists can disappear if browser storage is cleared or unavailable. Switch between the tool tabs to reuse an unsaved list without leaving the tools.
Does a team split guarantee evenly matched opponents?
No. Teams have balanced numbers of entries. The generator does not assess ability or other participant attributes.
How do I report a problem?
See the contact page. Include the tool, browser, device, steps and a small example using made-up names. Avoid sending a private roster.
Read the practical guides for worked examples.
